Programs
The ACAC will explore food technological innovation that changes the way we produce and consume food. The ACAC is dedicated to cultivating and nurturing Washington, DC’S diverse food culture and will strengthen the thread used to bring people together to advocate and support the community in which it will be located.
ACAC encompasses:
A café and multiple restaurants featuring locally produced wines, olive oils, cheeses, spices and more, operated by James Beard nominated chef Jerome Grant.
A test kitchen for researching and preserving traditional recipes and experimenting with new ingredients and techniques.
Culinary entrepreneur and workforce training kitchen and classrooms
A gallery where visitors can explore the intersection of food, culture, art and history.
A rooftop farm growing rare varieties of vegetables and herbs. This collaboration with Vertical Harvest will supply raw materials for ACAC restaurants, pop-up dinners and test kitchen
A public library with 1,500 research books and recipes recommended by global culinary experts.
We will be featuring emerging chefs, for special popup events
We will invite chefs from the international scene, to inspire and be inspired by our local talent
Planned events include tours, dialogues, storytelling, panels, lectures and classes such as chocolate bean to bar
